Wedding Feature: Courtney and Jack - February 19, 2022

A chilly day in February was no match for Courtney and Jack! They were so joy-filled and happy for the whole day which brought all the sunshine they could need! The ceremony was at their church in Norridge, Illinois and the reception was at Tuscany Falls in Mokena, Illinois.

Courtney and Jack decided they didn’t want to see each other before the ceremony, but they did a unique “first touch” and prayer together before the ceremony began. This is a great way to get some nerves out before you see each other down the aisle for the first time!

It was definitely a beautiful ceremony. Jack’s dad is the pastor of their church so he was a natural officiant for his son and new daughter-in-law. There was a worship song the whole church sang together that gave me chills! It was a really sweet touch that was very personalized since they are in the worship team!

Courtney and Jack also did a unity sand ceremony. During the rehearsal, the sand actually got knocked over but we cleaned it up and had it all back to normal for the ceremony the next day.

There was a bit of a drive from the church to the reception space, so the guests had plenty of time in between to get themselves settled. It also gave time for some photos for the couple and the wedding party all together!

Courtney and Jack wanted to make sure to say hello to everyone, so they asked me to monitor how long they stayed at each table chatting and thanking everyone. They were afraid of not hitting every table, but we ended up timing it perfectly right before their first dance!

Tuscany Falls made everyone’s lives so simple with all of the hard work they did. They put out all of the decorations, handled all of the catering, and hosted a lovely wedding! I have to say, it was definitely one of the easier weddings for me to coordinate because of this!

A very unique and cool element to this wedding was their cinnamon roll cake from The Bun Bar! They had a large one they privately cut and single-serving cakes in multiple different flavors. I have never seen anything like it - it was so awesome!

Even though some couples aren’t into the tradition of the bouquet and garter toss anymore, this couple made it so fun! It definitely had all of their guests laughing.

This was a great wedding to be at! Their family and friends were all a delight and I was very happy to see the happy couple’s day come together!
