11 Best Loft, Industrial Wedding Venues with Brick in the Chicago and Chicagoland Area

When couples are looking for lofty or industrial wedding venues, they usually are mostly drawn to buildings that have exposed brick. We think that because this is such an integral part of a wedding venue with this style, it’s important to shout out the venues that we love that have this element! Once you have decided your priorities for the wedding and created your budget based off of this blog post, it is time to start the fun stuff and get your venue settled! There are so many wedding venues in Illinois to sift through, but these venues both in Chicago and the Chicago area are ones that we definitely recommend you look more into.

  1. The Brix on the Fox - Carpentersville, IL

When you think of a venue with brick walls that has that industrial, lofty feel with the exposed brick, this is probably the exact space that you imagine in your head. The Brix on the Fox has multiple spaces that are so dreamy and perfect for this vibe and we definitely recommend checking them out! This open concept building is perfect for hosting your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception and it’s historical-yet-elegant feel is perfect for your wedding day!

2. Salvage One - Chicago, IL

Salvage One is surely a space that brings a unique feel to your wedding day that everyone is sure to remember forever!! This space is one of the coolest places we have worked and it has an energy that is unmatched. The building itself has an antique shop on the first floor and the tables upstairs are all unique, warm pieces that give your guests such an intimate dinner party vibe! The brick inside the whole space definitely helps give it that lofty vibe too. Everything about this wedding venue is cool and we can’t recommend it enough!

3. Blumen Gardens - Sycamore, IL

The brick inside the venue has a lovely, rustic feel, but the outdoor ceremony space with the exposed brick actually is even better. The gardens are perfect to take photos and this is definitely a space that is unique with the ability to have your cocktail hour outside in the gardens too! If you’re in the area, you can check out this space while it is actually a garden center and nursery, and it is so cool how the space can transform to be perfect for your wedding day. We definitely think this space is worth checking out if you love the brick walls for your wedding venue!

4. Lacuna Lofts - Chicago, IL

Lacuna Lofts is definitely the perfect space to have your wedding in our opinion. You can have most guest counts here and they can host your getting ready, ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in one venue. They have two different spaces that are both beautiful and bright depending on your guest count and both have that loft, brick wall feel that we love. And if you’re looking for a little extra fun, they have a SkyDeck that you can use for your ceremony and cocktail hour that has a perfect view of the city skyline as the backdrop that really takes the cake. The space is full of artistic flair with many popular murals and art pieces that are sure to grab your attention. Not only is it a lovely, unique space, but it is wonderful working with their amazing staff and catering team!

5. The Haight - Elgin, IL

The Haight is a warehouse that is such a sweet, loving venue for your wedding. The whole space has brick walls and the string lights are definitely perfect for that lofty, warehouse feel that you’re looking for. They have indoor and outdoor spaces available and it is definitely a beautiful spot to have your wedding day! Of course we have to mention their permanent cake table - it’s so unique and interesting and will definitely stand out when your guests are welcomed into the space! There is something about the space that is so cozy and warm and we definitely can’t get enough of it. The historic nature of the building gives it such character and this space stands out as one that is special for sure. We think you should check it out if you’re looking for a venue with some beautiful brick!

6. The Arbory - Chicago, IL

The Arbory is definitely a gorgeous space with brick walls you can’t forget. The skylights really bring such a warm ambience and the plant walls they have for photos are sure to stick with you and be memorable. Their getting ready room is helpful to store your stuff and each room has such a lovely, fun personality that we adore! When you’re looking for a loft-style wedding venue, this is definitely one of the first ones that comes to mind. We love the staff and it is definitely a spot we highly recommend!

7. The District - Richmond, IL

The District is such an elegant, elongated space that we think you’ll love. It is another historic space that has a warmth modernistic feel that draws you in. The tall ceilings immediately make it feel elegant, and the brick walls surrounding the space are definitely pushing that elegance to the max! There is something so clean and sleek about this space that a modern, classy couple would absolutely adore. This space makes it nice and easy with the onsite getting ready suite and the private alley you can use for your ceremony. We definitely think it’s worth checking out The District if you’re looking for an elegant, lofty wedding venue.

8. WildmanBT - Chicago, IL

WildmanBT was such a beautiful space that we absolutely love working at! They have gorgeous brick around the entire space, unique light fixtures, and a bright blue curtain to facilitate the room flip with ease and brings a great pop of color and personality. This space is great to host your whole wedding day with their upstairs getting ready space and the staff are absolutely wonderful to work with too. The large, open space is perfectly sized and split with their curtains that it is spacious without feeling too large which we appreciate. We highly recommend looking into having your wedding here!

9. Company 251 - Aurora, IL

Company 251 is the perfect mix of modern and luxurious and lofty. They have clean, white walls alongside the exposed brick you see here and we think that this space just screams modern elegance. They have the classic, brown and red brick here, but they also have a ceremony spot that has white brick if you’re interested in that slightly different take on the brick walls too. With the marble bars, lounge areas, and the getting ready suites, you will absolutely love coming to this venue for your wedding and your guests will definitely be intrigued!

10. City View Loft - Chicago, IL

City View Loft is able to bring that wow factor and still have that warm, lofty feel with both of their spaces! This space transforms in the evening, but still has that classic loft-style and warmth when it is light outside. It is a beautiful space with a wonderful view of the city and we definitely recommend checking out this space and their first floor ceremony and cocktail hour location “Kitchen Chicago” for even more natural light and brick walls. They will be doing renovations through 2025, but you better believe they are going to be so much more lovely after they are finished!

11. The Joinery - Chicago, IL

The Joinery is a unique space that we absolutely adore. The center skylight, the white brick, and the blue chairs really bring a personality that is different from the rest of the venues. The outdoor patio is great to use for a room flip and you can really dress up this space with color to achieve whatever look you’re hoping to have! The new renovations to the outdoor patio space are really going to transform that full space into a beautiful place that your guests will really love! You know that having a loft-style wedding venue like this will definitely be something unique to you.
