Saddle and Cycle Club in Chicago Wedding Feature: Emma and Freddy

Narrowing down this wedding into a blog post is so difficult because there were so many amazing parts of the day and the photos are truly incredible! This Chicago wedding in July was truly one of the most heartfelt and fun weddings we’ve been lucky to have been a part of! The weather was absolutely perfect which was great for their outdoor ceremony. We thought that it might be a little hot, but it was wonderful overall! Saddle and Cycle Club is truly a hidden gem within Chicago that you probably had no idea even existed!

The day started off getting ready in their separate spaces onsite. Emma and her wedding party members seemed to have a great time in the morning and all looked amazing! Honestly, they all achieved model status.

Freddy and his guys were off in the distance and got to hang out and have some fun in the meantime before the first look.

Emma’s dress was such a perfect fit for her and the cathedral length veil added the perfect amount of drama and personality to the look. Emma’s hair and makeup team were incredible and really made her look stunning!

The first look was absolutely adorable! We loved how excited Emma seemed and watching their family and friends get excited from a distance too. We always encourage couples to do a first look because it’s really one of the main times of the day that you will get to be with your soon-to-be spouse throughout the whole day. It’s such an intimate, sweet moment and the photos are always great too!

Emma’s wedding party members wore a mix of styles, pattens, and lengths of attire in shades of pink that were absolutely stunning! We really love having your wedding party in things that are the most comfortable and fits their style best, and the variety that Emma had chosen truly was gorgeous.

Emma and Freddy’s dog, Beans, made an appearance as their ring bearer and did an amazing job! I think Beans is one of the cutest ring bearers we’ve ever seen, and he was such a good boy throughout the time he was there!

The white florals with the greenery is popular, but we think that Catherine’s Gardens did an amazing job to add value to the space and really make it amazing. We definitely love ceremonies that have the two-piece arch - it is so lovely adds a beautiful variety to the lush, green ceremony space. Emma and Freddy also did personalized vows which really made everyone laugh and cry during a lovely ceremony.

The decorations in the space were minimal because the cocktail hour space and the reception was already so gorgeous. Saddle and Cycle Club is one of those venues that really seems to speak for itself and not need lots of extra stuff to make a statement of beauty.

There also had a Polaroid guest book which is one of my favorites! We kept up with changing out the film for the couple when we saw it was empty and we also had found some extra table number holders since there weren’t actually enough in the box.

Emma had an outfit change during dinner and also had her hair pulled back into an elegant ponytail. The dress looked amazing and was probably really nice to be able to dance in!

Having some personalized aspects to your wedding is definitely important now, and Freddy’s sister was able to make the cake for the wedding. It truly turned out to be gorgeous, and it looked like it tasted great too!

One of the most iconic parts of the wedding day was Emma and Freddy’s first dance. They had completely choreographed it which was a total surprise to me until about 10 minutes before the dance. We recorded the whole thing for them since they didn’t have a videographer and the wedding party was supposed to join them at the end - we almost screamed out loud when Freddy got down on his hands and knees and Emma walked him like their dog!

Overall, this wedding was amazing! From start to finish, you can feel and see the love that they have for one another. This wedding was such a fun, party-filled energy while still being intimate and sweet. Being able to see couples as they are throughout their day really is what makes each wedding so unique.

Getting to know couples and their story truly makes the work so much more meaningful. We love hearing about the love story, how you met, your proposal, and hearing what your friends and family have to say about you during the speeches. It really is nice to be able to connect with couples besides their wedding - everyone has a whole life and dreams besides the wedding day and this couple had a truly inspiring love story! They are definitely a power couple and we really enjoyed being a part of their wedding day.
