Sweet, Modern, Classic Wedding at Harry Caray’s in Lombard, Illinois: Danielle and Bob

This Chicago and Lombard wedding day in April truly was one of the most fun because we had such a sweet couple! Danielle actually is a twin sister of a wonderful bride we worked with back in New Years Eve of 2022 and it was so much fun. We provided day-of coordination for both of them and it was a joy! Danielle and Bob were attached at the hip and really prioritized spending the day together with each other and with their family and friends. The ceremony took place at St. Christina Catholic Church in Chicago and the reception was at Harry Caray’s in Lombard. Thankfully, we didn’t have any rain but we definitely had to battle the wind!

The day started off at Danielle’s parent’s house for the girls to get ready at. Their details shots are so precious - the blues throughout the wedding day were so elegant and sleek from the jewelry, invitations, and even the perfume!

The PJs were SO cute for everyone to get ready in! We love the button-up shirts so that you don’t have to mess up hair and makeup changing into their outfits.

Danielle’s look definitely was classic and sleek - we LOVE the square neckline since you don’t see that too often! It definitely fit her personality so well with the gorgeous hair and makeup too and she looked absolutely beautiful. She did have a long, cathedral-length veil to go with it, but the wind of the day couldn’t keep that for long while outdoors.

Danielle and Bob decided to have their first look down the aisle and they were so happy. It was wonderful to see how excited everyone was for them to get married!!

Our favorite part of their gallery are the photos in the Lemont area at Waterfall Glen. Because it was a beautiful spring day, the trees were full of lively flowers that really were so beautiful. The wedding party in the black tuxes and the dark blue dresses were also carrying over the overarching classic, modern, and elegant feeling for the day! The girls kept the same color palette, but they had different necklines which is always nice to keep them the most comfortable.

We truly love couple’s portraits because of how happy they were together. It’s too hard to narrow them down because they are all stunning! Krystal did an amazing job for Danielle’s wedding.

It definitely was worth a photo break for some shots! We love when couples are doing more than posing in their photos and bringing in a little more personality.

We loved this portion of the photos - Danielle hadn’t removed her veil yet and the spin was getting her all wrapped up!

Once they got the veil off, things worked out a lot better. It’s definitely important to keep a good sense of humor about your photos and to not take them too seriously.

After all of the photos, Danielle and Bob were able to mingle at cocktail hour. We weren’t sure at first if we would be able to have it outside because of the winds, but we were thankfully able to make it work! Danielle and Bob didn’t leave each other’s sides and their ceremony musicians did an amazing job.

Danielle and Bob had written personal thank yous for each guests’ seats, and we had a great time decorating their tables with TONS of candles! The little details they had through the reception were also so cute - the drink stirrers and their cutting cake were adorable!

Right before the grand entrance while guests were getting seated, they had “sunset photos” too - we were just glad it wasn’t raining!

We moved into the reception with the grand entrance and the cake cutting. Creative Cakes did a fantastic job with their modern, heart-shaped cake!

The first dance had some choreographed moves that we loved. It’s so much fun seeing our couples enjoying themselves throughout the whole day.

We had an array of speeches and they were all were so much fun! Everyone was laughing the whole time, which isn’t typical for many weddings but it was clear that this large crowd was here to REALLY have a good time.

Honestly, everyone was dancing the ENTIRE night which is one of our favorite things to see! A packed dance floor really is a sign to us that not only was the DJ great, but also that you have a great group of friends and family that are looking to enjoy the night with you!

Danielle and Bob were so much fun to get to work with! They also had a beautiful video on Instagram from their videographer that you have to see!

We really love getting to know our couples and getting to see them enjoy their wedding from start to finish like they did. Danielle and Bob hired many of the same vendors as her sister, and it was just as great as the first time around with Allyson! We are looking forward to also working with their other sister, Laura next September too!
